After the success of the 2007 website, the new 2008 version of AUS120.com has continued to turn a few heads. Only a short time after the website was launched, AUS120.com has been featured on W3CSites, CSS Glance, WeLoveWP and CSS Creme amongst a few. These are design-showcase websites (from all around the World) which feature “well designed and coded websites” in all forms as well as websites adhering to strict web standards and usability.

Second Consecutive Overall Title

The 2007-08 NSW Windsurfing Series finished over the weekend with the final event in Hawks Nest which included the prizegiving ceremony for the overall series. Sean won the event after 4 races which helped him take the Overall Series Champion’s Title for the second consecutive season. Sean dominated the series, winning 5 of the 7 events he competed in; beating Brett Morris (AUS-8) and Sam Fawkes (AUS-21) into second and third overall. Sean wins the KA Sails Dash-For-Cash

The 2008 KA Sails Dash-For-Cash was run from Lake Cootharaba Sailing Club yesterday with the top slalom sailors from Queensland all fighting for the $500 first place cashfund. The event was organised by Peter from Caloundra Wind & Surf and with the 20 knot onshore winds at the Lake, a marathon slalom course (complete with a small upwind component) was set with buoys at each end of the lake. Sean won the race in a time of 19.30 mins; over 45 seconds ahead of his nearest rival. Sean used his 8.2m Vapor sail with a borrowed iSonic 111 and 42cm Deboichet SL2 fin to win the race.

On April 4th, 2008, the Gold Coast Media & Corporate Club will host host their biggest ever panel of sports people, former stars, administrators and the media for a forum at a luncheon discussing all the hot topics in sport. Sean has been invited to speak on the forum alongside other Australian sporting superstars such as Dick Johnson (Touring Car Driver), Karla Gilbert (Iron Woman Champion), Sharon Anyos (WBC/WBF Boxing World Champion), James Courtney (V8 Supercar Driver) and players from the Gold Coast Titans and Gold Coast Blaze. Oceanic FW Championships

The 2008 Oceanic and Australian Formula Windsurfing Championships are kicking off at Suttons Beach, Redcliffe this week from the 22nd to 25th January. This event has been organised and coordinated by Sean and is attracting some of the World’s best Formula windsurfers including World Champion Steve Allen, former World #1 ranked Jesper Vesterstrom as well as top sailors from all around Australia and New Zealand.

Introducing CarbonSugar.com. A weblog about the design, construction, use and tuning of high-performance windsurfers. This weblog was a result of having never found any decent ‘windsurfing-specific’ books, articles, tutorials on any racing related tactics, technique, design or construction of high-performance windsurfing gear. Now there can be a haven for discussing how to tune your formula kit, how to get the best start and how to fix your gear when you break it for the umpteenth time.
