TEAM-AUS Athletes Compete in Triathlon

What do elite athletes do when they’re not training for their respective sport? They are usually out competing in other fitness sports! Team-AUS athletes Sean O’Brien, Bob and John Hoyes competed in the final USM Triathlon for this season at Raby Bay today. This was the first triathlon any of the athletes had competed in, and the unusually warm temperatures for this time of year made the sell-out event a little tougher for the athletes…

I hear John won. How embarrassing, your rookie team mate beat the older guys.
Impressive effort though, keep up the good work!

John actually ran the 25th fastest run leg out of the entire field of 779 competitors; including the Elite Mens division!
Not bad for a Rookie, that’s why we put him in the team :)
